Sabbath is more than a day off—it's a rhythm of ceasing. God rested on the seventh day not because He was tired, but to bless rest itself. When we Sabbath, we declare that we are not what we produce. We step off the treadmill and remember that the world keeps turning without our constant effort. Gratitude flourishes in rest: we notice what we rush past when we're busy. A moment of stillness can turn "I have to" into "I get to."
