Leaving Google is really a matter of patience. They first told me it was not possible because of UntrackMe, which has been suspended.
Then they asked me to open one ticket per app for GDPR compliance:
- an old version of Fedilab they removed
- a Mobilizon app
- TubeLab
- Fedilab (current version)
And the suspended one, because I can't delete them myself.
They first replied that it needed further investigation, then that I should not open so many tickets while they had asked me to 🤪

#Fedilab 3.43.3 has been published! It mostly brings fixes. The custom MarkDown support no longer breaks the instance formatting. It also fixes some mentions and links not opening inside the app. The lost position when coming back should be fixed for all timelines, including #GoToSocial.

#Fedilab, all other apps and my dev account are officially off Google. I submitted the form and unpublished everything.

#FediHood now lets you sign up and log in with your #Mastodon account. It only uses the minimal API scope "read:accounts", and the token is immediately revoked. Your Mastodon identity is never shown nor federated.

Without an account, the app suggests a handle and you pick a city, no email and no password to manage. With an existing account, you can link your Mastodon account to it, and each Mastodon account can only be linked once.

I used to work only with APIs, and I decided to build my own ActivityPub connections. That is not a small step.

The work of @silverpill, his thinking and his openness taught me a lot, and made me want to keep going with ActivityPub.

I think it's important to just say thank you to people who inspire you.

I don't know if #FediHood will be adopted by the #Fediverse community, but I am still doing my best for it. Three new features have been added:

- Emoji reactions to messages (federated)
- Theme customization (with presets available)
- An option to automatically delete your own posts

#Fedilab 3.43.2 has been published.

This release fixes several crashes and memory issues, keeps drafts when the app restarts or the theme changes, and improves the timeline position when coming back.

The Bitdefender false positive on fedihood.social is now solved. The domain is still young, so remember to check your spam folder for the confirmation email. This should improve over time.
Also, in the settings, you can check your email address for typos.
