Instead of "skip cutscene" buttons, video games should let you shoot the bad guy while they're monologuing, thus starting the fight immediately

The Steam Machine/Controller is obviously a terrible value as a console, but I wonder if it might be redeemable as a media server. Someone should try installing the whole media piracy suite of Jellyfin et al and using it instead of their TV's "smart" features

I'm still waiting on my 2team Controller (Steam Contwoller) but from what I remember of the OG it actually worked fairly well for light tasks requiring a mouse and keyboard

I'd actually love to have a community notes feature on #Mastodon like there is on Twitter. As a mod/admin the only response I have to misinformation is removing posts or banning accounts, but there are plenty of situations where those would be excessive

I could see someone disagreeing with this because it could be abused, but you already have to trust the admin of your instance since they have complete control
