How Data Sets Cement Worldviews and How Platforms Self-Destruct:
I’m currently analyzing various platforms for weaknesses in their information architecture. Right now, I’m looking at a major freelance agency. When I tried creating a profile just to test it, it became clear that they’re likely already filtering out 50 percent of their potential clients. The “Perpetual Traveler” model doesn’t exist on their platform, so creating a profile isn’t possible.
This isn’t a form problem. It’s a data model that fails to adapt to current realities. A digital dinosaur, with the meteorite of their core users’ changing realities hurtling straight toward it.

The decentralized movement has solved the money problem and addressed the identity problem. Hardly anyone talks about the third problem.

A marketplace without middlemen is still useless if I can’t find what I’m looking for. Zero percent fees are of no use to anyone whose listing is in a category where no one is looking for them. A reputation system only works if two listings by the same person are recognized as belonging to the same person. And DAO governance usually regulates who is allowed to vote—rarely who is allowed to create, modify, or mark information as outdated.

Centralized platforms solve this through authority: one person defines the categories; another cleans things up. Anyone who abolishes this authority must solve the problem differently—not ignore it.

I spent a year working on Bitcoin adoption for small and medium-sized businesses. In the end, regulation was the main obstacle, but along the way I noticed something else: even where merchants accept Bitcoin, they’re often simply impossible to find. This isn’t a marketing problem. It’s an information problem.

That’s what I’m working on now.

For me, Bitcoin is a vehicle for an idea.

Decentralized structures can make communities and businesses more resilient if they do not make critical decisions, data, payment channels, and infrastructure entirely dependent on individual institutions or platforms.

In this context, sovereignty does not mean owning everything yourself or being completely self-sufficient. Rather, it refers to the ability to act autonomously, switch providers, control your own data and assets, and remain functional even during crises. Digital sovereignty therefore encompasses, among other things, data sovereignty, technical independence, portability, and the reduction of critical lock-in effects.
