well, thinking of the children, how about addressing the harmful content on the internet rather than shrieking about vulnerable people - fix it for everyone.

This isn't about kids or protection, this is about eroding encryption and privacy. And when you erode encryption then you jeopardize online banking, e-commerce, etc.,

There is no good-guy only backdoor. Every lock has a key, every lock can be picked. Now you're adding keys and increasing the attack surfaces.

Still getting used to Cinnamon as a desktop but already liking it well enough over gnome.

Completely fed up with all the weirdness wayland is causing. KiCad has a really good, and perfectly reasonable, write-up about why they aren't fixing wayland issues - most aren't in their control, nor are they writing distro specific workarounds as each distro implments different wayland feature sets.

Right saw this being boosted by someone else, who remarked that someone famous boosted this.

Personally I think this is a really amazing piece of work that deserves some recognition - including the sculptor's name which is missing in the boosted screen shot.

so after boosting the boost myself, two people then engaged in a conversation about the person who originally boosted and completely ignored the sculpture and its creator.

if anyone knows who she is, I'd be more than happy to add her name to it.

(yes this is a bit of a wtf subtoot, but hopefully we can find out who made this)
