Hmm 🤔 the only short stories that come to mind are:

1. Aesop's fables
2. Some of James Joyce's stories
3. Children of the sea by edwidge danticat

Is there a fable or some entertaining story from your culture that you're drawn to or have in mind?

That's a great selection. There’s a beautiful letter James Baldwin wrote to his Nephew in „ the fire next time“. Love it and would read that . It could also be something a little lighter. I'm thinking of Bukowski and Roald Dahl:)

I was unsatisfied with the original painting, so the painted paper towel has become the subject...voila!
