@Robert Kingett

I’m a blind and gay romance writer that loves fiction podcasts, audiobooks, cookies, and cats! I follow more hashtags than people. Because I take frequent social media breaks, the best way to reach me quickly is via my website or email rather than here.

I’ve shared this the other day, but I encourage you to read this all the way through because it provides a very distinct understanding as to why blind people love LLMs. For a disabled person like me, of course I use LLMs because every disability access technology I use has incorporated the use of these LLMs. That being said, I do not think the sociological, political, environmental, and intersectional harms should be ignored just to advance accessibility. I understand I am lucky in the sense that I have a vast network of virtual and in person humans to help me with a wide array of digital and in person tasks, but I care more about community than I do about technology. Do not mistake me for a technophobe.

If I had $1 trillion, I wouldn’t need to go to Mars or reinvent the subway or some other stupid shit, I would give every homeless person in my city enough money to live 20 years in a hotel so they can get back on their feet. If there aren’t any hotels open then the rest can live in my mansion for like five or 10 years or 20 years or however long it takes them to get back on their feet, and if they don’t want to leave, fine, but we’re experiencing all kinds of art together and I would invite small independent artists to have dinner with us and the only obligation I would have is to like, just sincerely listen/read/taken in their art and maybe pass the dinner rolls if they ask for dinner rolls.
