These will obviously be doxxed KYC'd Nostr accounts (at least within your database) but it seems like providing Merchants a means of communicating with their Consumers (perhaps thru NIP17 protocols as Bitchat does) could be a powerful add-on feature for your existing userbase!

This would then enable us all to find and send Zaps to anyone/everyone that has a CashTag.

KYC regulations are a crime against humanity. I would never trust ANY family, or any products/services they offer, with my money or my identification documents.

The ONLY way to practice safe KYC is for that to stand for Know-Your-Custodian! This one seems less than trustworthy, for our sats or our transaction history.

Google collecting and creating a Honeypot of developers' personally identifiable information does indeed seem a 'bad thing'. KYC compliance requirements are a solution worse than the problem. One that also locks anyone without a physical address and state issued ID out of the software development field.

The good news is this will likely inspire more options to be developed that remove them from their privileged position in the ecosystem. My de-googling of phones, more development of Graphene OS, and more PWA options becoming available WILL be a 'good thing'.

This is why we simply build Progressive Web Apps, PWAs don't require installing, they're simply bookmarks. Applications are ONLY necessary for offline use, anything and everything that needs the Internet to function can simply be a PWA.

Ultimately, this will drive more development of both hardware and software outside of Google's silos, which will be a good thing. Use of Graphene OS on de-googled phones loading apps from Obtainium will get better and better. Necessity is the Mother of Invention, sovereignty demands we control of territory we own and stop building sandcastles on others' beaches and stop using permissioned rental units.

Boycotting banks and the credit system, never filing 'income' tax statements over 37 years in the work force. I couldn't imagine even considering doing so now that Bitcoin has come into existence.

Slavery is binary, not a sliding scale. Those who work 3-4 months out of the year to pay others for the privilege of working are slaves. They live in overpriced overbuilt dog houses funded with their own promisery notes by those who didn't even have the 'money' that was 'loaned'. This my phrase for those living the American Nightmare is 'house slave's because they live in gilded cages falsely believing themselves free and successful.
