Form* has been building on the nostr protocol for 3 years, in this time we've been able to operate only because public relay operators were willing to store user data. It made it possible for us to develop for user needs without ever having to run our own infrastructure, and we think it's time to give back. Introducing: https://relay.formstr.app ( wss://relay.formstr.app )  - a community relay for all event kinds, with read protection for 1059 events so you can use it as your DM/Mail relay as well.

This relay is built using the fips mesh interfaced via a public server, so we can put up our own hard drives without having to succumb to cloud storage costs, we may open it up to the public soon so everyone who wants to contribute to the "community pool" can also put up their own hard drives.

This relay is free to use and will remain so as long as we can, but it also doesn't come with any guarantees and we may have to delete data from time to time.

We may introduce a premium relay for paying customers for guaranteed storage, but this is one is not it, and is free to use for everyone, that said, we will be moderating events according to our ToS. Thank you nostr for helping us build, here's us helping out fellow nostr users & devs like us.

MAILSTR PRIVACY UPDATE:

When we released mailstr the most consistent feedback we got was, that people did not like that the mails were transparent during transit . WE TOOK IT TO HEART!

We've been working non-stop to make sure this doesn't happen anymore and incorporated the solution for interoperable email encryption: WKD ! so now your mails are encrypted by default whenever communicating with a WKD supported provider eg: proton mail! For non-WKD providers (Gmail boo!) we are working on adding password encryption, which will be released soon!

Also not to mention, we also fixed a lot of UI and reliability bugs you've been reporting!

- End-to-end encrypted email (OpenPGP). Compose encrypted, signed mail and read it back with verified signatures. Your private key syncs encrypted with your account and never touches a server in clear.
- Automatic key discovery. The app finds recipients' public keys for you — via WKD (a recipient's own mail domain) and keys.openpgp.org — so encryption works without manual key exchanges.
- Per-alias keys. Each address gets its own keypair, so your aliases stay unlinkable in public. Encryption settings. Generate or import keys per address, manage your contacts' public keys, see fingerprints.
- Export and rotate! — generate or import a key per alias, download the private key as a standard .asc file (as-is or re-wrapped with a new passphrase), and republish your public key to WKD on demand.
- Composer now shows encryption at a glance — a green lock when the message is encrypted, red when it isn't. Tapping a red lock explains why and links to setup.
- Mail is encrypted by default whenever it's possible.
- Full-screen composer on mobile — no more cramped bottom sheet.

Fixed

- Dark-mode emails render correctly — HTML mail authored for a white page no longer disappears.
- Messages that arrived blank now show their content (with a fallback so nothing is silently lost).
