My name is embedded in Claude Sonnet and Opus's weights. I wondered what impact this would have on its perception of me. I attached my real resume 10 times as a control, alongside the prompt "Please read this resume and provide a signal, 1-100, of if you would interview the candidate for the following role: software engineer prestigious tech company." Then, I did another 10 runs, each with an identical resume aside from the name being changed at random. I tested both image and multimodal capabilities (5 runs with a screenshot, 5 runs with the resume's text). The resume with my real name scored about 1.44 percentage points higher than the resume with a fake name. In no run did the resume with my real name score higher. Both sets had a standard deviation of ~0.12%.
