Argh, #waybar is so frustrating! On the one hand, you can do some really cool things with it; on the other hand, a third of the options don’t work for no apparent reason.

{bandwidthUpBytesCompact} doesn’t work.
{bandwidthUpBytes:U} doesn’t work.
{%-H} doesn’t work.
"format-en" doesn’t work.
…

Out of 9 modules, 5 are now custom scripts.

Here’s a quick #nushell tip for apps that don’t have auto-reload on configuration changes:

let $app = the-program-in-question
watch $"( $nu.home-dir )/.config/( $app )" {
ps | where name == $app | first | kill -s 12 $in.pid
}

Launch it however you like. The command “kill -s 12” sends a reload signal.

I trimmed my game wishlist. Lately, it was for “oh, right, that game exists,” rather than “day one purchase!” or anything like that. Sorry, devs, but I already have too much.

The fun part is that out of the 14 games left, 10 of them are about cars or something car-like. Huh. I guess, in every other area, I have a decent number of games, but not many of those. None of them are straight racers, though. They’re more survival-ish. Post-apocalyptic. Anti-war. You know, in my taste :)

I’m trying to keep my bar minimal, so I’m not sure why I would need one. It would be nice to have a state of media/function keys (those that you access with Fn+F1-F12 and that you can switch with Fn+Esc on many laptops and some keyboards), but I don’t think any of them can do that.

People don’t know why the Armed Forces of Ukraine are attacking Wildberries and not the other Russian Amazon-like companies, Ozon and Yandex. I think it’s simple.

Unsurprisingly, Wildberries doesn’t have good, or just consistent branding, but one of their most used “logos” is just lowercase “wb”. The “w” is two “v"s. The “b” is an upside-down “p”. Get it? vvp: Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Besides, “wp” sounds like “vp” anyway. Solved!
