🥩 THREE WEEKS LEFT TO BUY OUR GOLD-TOP BEEF AT ON-THE-HOOF SHARE PRICES 🥩

Our Gold-Top boys went in a couple of months earlier than planned this year.

The drought stopped fresh grass growth months ago and, like so many farmers, we have already been feeding the forage harvested for this coming winter — and it is now nearly gone.

We have to buy more hay to keep the cows and calves fed through winter, so keeping the boys any longer simply didn’t make sense. We hope the beef shares will help pay that extra winter forage bill.

So our beef will be ready much sooner than expected — in around three weeks.

🥛 Why Gold-Top?

These boys spent roughly their first year with their mothers, drinking rich Jersey/native milk, followed by around three years living with the herd on grass and pasture forage alone.

No grain finishing. No intensive fattening. Just mothers’ milk, pasture, forage and time.

That natural diet and their Jersey/native breeding gives our beef its beautiful distinctive golden fat — hence Gold-Top Beef.

For the next three weeks you can still buy a mixed Beef Share Box at the better-value on-the-hoof price. I hand-pick a selection of cuts for each box, for collection or postage.

Buying this way gives you better value and us the income sooner to pay those winter forage bills.

Once the shares have been divided, any remaining beef will be sold by individual cut at our normal premium prices.

@calva⚡️ @Plebeian Market Guys your marketplaces are not compatible!

I listed items on milk.market and when I look on plebeian quantity is "0", item is "hidden" and no shipping

edit item on plebeian and it loses "location" and shipping price on milk.market

choose category "health" on milk.market and on plebeian it has no main category and three sub categories:
MilkMarket

FREEMILK

This Watermelon Milk Soap is a collaboration between The Calf at Foot Dairy and the wonderful Emily of @milkmadesoap .

Emily is generously making the soap for us completely free of charge, donating her time, skill and work so that every single penny from every bar sold will go to Medical Aid for Palestinians.

The watermelon has become a symbol of Palestinian identity, resistance and solidarity. This soap is our way of standing visibly with the Palestinian people—not quietly caring from a safe distance, but being prepared to stick our necks out and say: we see what is happening, and we will not look away, which is the least any of us can do!

We know Palestine is not the only place where children and families are suffering. The people of Sudan, Congo, Yemen and other forgotten conflicts matter enormously too, and I personally donate to those causes whenever I can.

But supporting Palestine does not mean caring less about anybody else. This particular soap carries the colours and symbol of Palestine, and its purpose is clear: to show solidarity and raise urgently needed funds for Palestinian medical care.

All proceeds means ALL proceeds. Emily is making the soap without charge, and no production costs will be deducted.

It is only a bar of soap. It cannot stop bombs or bring back the children already lost. But it can raise money, carry a message and make it clear that we refuse to look away.

🍉 Price: £6 per bar
🍉 Every penny donated to @medicalaidpal (Medical Aid For Palestinians/MAP)
🍉 Handmade by Emily using milk from The Calf at Foot Dairy (Babybelle is the cows name)
🍉 Available from the CAFD online shop & at the farmgate Self-Service

A huge thank you to Emily for making this possible and putting her heart, time and talent behind it. ❤️🖤🤍💚

This is what real solidarity looks like—turning something as simple as soap into a lifeline of medicine and hope. 🕊️ Documenting our family's daily reality in Gaza on my pinned post if you'd like to check it out.

Support your local small food producer, use the pound in your pocket to buy direct, it's a vote which truly does count.

If you can shake the hand of the farmer who nurtured, grew, raised and produced the food on your plate that is a vote for real food

thankyou!
it is still asking for full KYC info (despite recognising the account and verifying with SMS code) so think we will just leave this as btc only, too much of a pita to do this all over again, if people want to pay with fiat they can come over to our main site that has Stripe set up already

ha! I read the prices before I read the text of the post, and did a double take. And actually 75 GBP also seems low to me for your meats. I hope your customers know how lucky they are!
