I am very pleasantly surprised that the new $dayjob offered me the choice of a Mac or Linux laptop.

Even with the hardware specs and distro unknown to me at this point I don't even care because I'm glad it's not Mac or Windows.

At $dayjob all I've been doing the past 3 days is Tailwind, Vite, and TypeScript. All of which I've had to learn from scratch for 1 HTML page. I don't know how you frontend folks do it with all of these tools.

What do folks recommend for an entry level 3D printer?

- Needs to be open source / moddable / good ecosystem or as much as possible. NO CLOUD REQUIREMENTS
- Needs to work with Linux
- Used for functional parts, maybe jewelry, but more useful stuff than just random desk figurines

The hardest part of building https://probes.dev for me was the UI. The actual core product of the network probes was the easiest part and I had that done as a proof of concept in an afternoon. The rest of the 90% of work was adding the UI around it for anyone to understand and consume.
