To add, hydrangeas are fucking magic. Add some salt to the soil, blue. Add some vinegar, pink. Get a good mix in between, purple. But also there are green ones! And white! And bushes and tree types and... Okay... Breathe Rupert...

Bachelor buttons are adorable. They're good for drying. One of my cousins did sunflowers and roses for her wedding flowers. It was really pretty. I had some mixed seeds a few years ago and got so many colors and combinations of yellows and reds and oranges. I don't think people realize how many colors they come in.
Oh! We have a museum here that has an azalea garden FULL of native varieties and so many other beautiful plants. I'll have to post pics next spring. They've had to crack down on the rules for the garden though because so many folks have taken advantage over the years.
