Art is a language not a task. You're treating it as though it were a question of efficiency: Why have a guy with a shovel and a bucket when I can use a machine to dig?
The point of art is to communicate your ideas so no matter the capacity of the machine it will only ever be an estimation of what you would have made and it will never have the inherent worth of the labor you've put into your art.

You can't purchase ice in Europe? I had no idea, it's such a basic convenience on the other side of the Atlantic
Personally, I wish we had businesses closer to our homes but our zoning laws divide residential from commercial and so we're stuck driving for absolutely everything

Truly? The possibility you didn't own a fridge crossed my mind but I thought I was being silly. Quite literally every home in America has a refrigerator. We even have them installed in temporary dwellings like campers and RVs.
I suppose your options would be to buy ice from a grocery store, but that's going to get expensive, purchase a small fridge with a "freezing compartment" or fill a squirt bottle with water and have a fan blow the water back at you.

I know it's janky but, given the trouble you're having with the heat, try freezing a couple bottles of water and setting them behind a fan. Be sure to pour some of the water out first so the ice doesn't break the bottle.
