If the government has not been stealing and wasting 90% of tax revenue maybe you could have had flood control systems in place by now.
Yes, true. The government needs more transparency and accountability. We’ve seen reports of ghost flood-control projects, and some projects were not built sturdy enough. But citizens also have a role, improper garbage disposal can clog drainage and make flooding worse. Both sides need to do better.
