@nprofile1q... They seem to get pretty good at doing the right thing correctly, that's for sure.

I had exactly the same feeling feeding mine and others works through Microsoft or Anthropic, but that goes away as soon as you hear that your coworkers are already using it heavily. At that point you might as well.

I got curious, and every second attempt yields a successful useful change. The other times the model misunderstands me or barks up the wrong tree. Not really a time saver to be honest. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I somewhat agree with @Linus Torvalds on his recent AI statement.

LLMs for programming tasks are useful - for the time being.

Are they economically viable? Probably not.
Are they sustainable? Hell no.
Are they copyright infringement? Most likely.

But this is not what Torvalds is talking about. This guy just wants to make his Kernel better.

I fully expect LLM providers to enshittify the living hell out of these things to recoup their insane investments. They won't stay useful.

Does anyone here have a https://wise.com account?

This is a bit embarassing, but how would I even pay using their "digital cards"?

Their website says "just like with your physical card!" but, well, cleary not. It's not in my pocket, to begin with.

How do you usually "take out" a digital card? And then, you just hold your phone to the contact point and it will just work? What if it doesn't? Do you need NFC enabled? Do you need internet?

Please, someone enlighten me.

I don't mind messaging. Much better to stay of social media with the wider world. And turn the television off. Going outside and having hobby projects, physical ones too - is nice.
