Really cool that youre mining with Ocean Pool by the way. I think that yes, this issue has created a divide between some factiosn of bitcoiners, and its offering a filter to identify certain trends inside the "philosophy" of bitcoin.

Going to philosophy for a sec, I would argue that the "No inscription" camp, sees the Telos of BTC as money.

The other camp sees it as an immutable database that also has the propperty of money.

I see the white paper and its quite clear what Bitcoin Is. I think that tinkering to deeply with the nature of the proposal of the person who brought about BTC to the world Is a bit misguided. Thus If I would be a miner, I would be mining in Ocean for the reason that I recognize the telos of Bitcoin as Money / payments network.

One of the things I carry at the top of my personal hierarchy is #Bitcoin. I believe it's one of the most important concepts developed by humanity .

I want to do something for BTC.

A good friend of mine wisely once pointed out to me that in order to make something of value online we have to think carefully about :

a) your interests / skillset
b) develop a "be useful" mindset

Useful things tend to ... be useful to others and thats a net plus for the world.

Back to #BTC: I could use my personal skillset (Music), or I could explore another of my interests & see if there is a synchronicity with the needs of the world and what bugs me.

I plan to focus one one of my parallel interests : FOSS, sovereign networks & decentralisation.

I don't have technical knowledge, but this is something that bugs the hell out of me.

How can it be that we all gave away the sovereignty of our data, when there are alternatives that keep "the secret" partly alive???.

This is something i'm willing to fight for.

Due to basic privacy aspirations & amplified by what happened after Russia got out of favour with global big tech, I became passionate about escaping that matrix. Luckily, Self Hosting & BTC are connected.

I have a long term plan, but its too early to talk about it.

What I do want to announce is that I have given my second small step into "doing something" for bitcoin and that Is to fund a Territory in @npub1qaskr... about Mining, SelfHosting & FOSS
