Agree, accountability is certainly absent. There needs to be consequences for such gross actions, whether it be by error or malfeasance.

This exists, as it’s becoming mandatory for company directors to verify their ID via biometrics by the end of November 2025, but it hasn’t installed without my consent on my phone at least. I didn’t install it, but did it at the post office, which still required my biometrics.

Another interesting idea i heard on another podcast is the’ll be a financial event that’ll cause a freeze/capital control on regular fiat currency, and then the rationale will be made that in order to keep the financial system ‘stable’ a digital/cbdc version will only be allowed for awhile (these things are always supposed to be temporary) to promote more widespread adoption. A digitised rationing of sorts.
