Well if there's nothing more specific than that, I guess we can only disagree on the aesthetics. I think the most important bit is have greenery+shading and if trees are too heavy for that, then I guess they can put in shrubs or vining plants on scaffolding or whatever. I think you are underestimating the amount of dirt that is used for these trees and the amount it weighs, and the increased amount of overall concrete it brings.

yeah, but in general from a distance it might as well be fake grass or a green, grassy looking coat of paint which is why it feels so fake and gay to me.

I've seen that video yes. I think it will save the planet because rooftop gardens please my aesthetic sensibilities. It's good to put trees on the roof.
