The ideologies were created and reinforced by people who created them in a time before bitcoin and many of our emergent behaviours cannot see the zero sum nature of these ideologies.
Assuming bitcoin stays decentralized and secure, those beliefs crumble to a new higher truth.
The risk you’re pointing to is that the ideologies become our identity and we hold onto them making our version of truth the right one and the other version the wrong one - all within the same system we have always know. (My first post that you responded to). If that held, (I don’t believe it will over long term) then bitcoin would become centralized and fail because we would be measuring it from within our old paradigms.

Exactly. The real trick is realizing the game itself is the trap. Stop fighting for position inside the system, and start building your way out of it.

If you understand that prices fall to the marginal cost of production in a free market, you also understand why there is a massively coordinated fear campaign by AI labs to drive regulation to try protect their monopolies. (Not to protect you)

Engineer · 3d
Valid point, but you have causation backward. Consumer demand determines prices. Competition among businesses for those dollars drives up the costs of production. But not quite to the point of eliminating profits. Only to the point that it becomes more profitable to invest in other lines of prod...

What’s something that’s had your interest in the last 90 days besides from Bitcoin ?
Benking · 3d
Bitcoin taught us this lesson already: don’t trust the institutions asking for more control to protect you. Open protocols, permissionless competition, and proof you can verify yourself are what keep monopolies honest. Don’t regulate away competition. Decentralize it.

nostr:nprofile1qqsg86qcm7lve6jkkr64z4mt8lfe57jsu8vpty6r2qpk37sgtnxevjcqz7p82 the marginal cost argument is the one i keep coming back to. every time compute gets cheaper the case for locking it behind a licence gets louder, which tells you what the licence is protecting.

AI is deflationary. So, if you use it directly you capture that deflation. If you access it through a regulated gatekeeper, they capture it as rent. So in work you want to use the most open and least regulated tools you can, as fast as you can, before regulation waters down the benefit.
