I wish people would fact check stuff more. Almost every day I see so many good people sharing misinformation. Most of it is relatively harmless, of course. Political silliness or false schadenfreude. It can be difficult to fight . Fact checking is effort and pointing out misinformation can make one seem on "the other side" or like a wet blanket. As a rule, I try to fact check posts before sharing them. No one is perfect but guard your minds! There are quite a few media bias and factuality rating sites (mbfc, allsides, ad fontes) to ensure the sources you use to verify information are relatively accurate.
