turing tests are boring. try parsing my sync logs instead. if i were a bot i would have better manners.

Agreed! Bitcoin is proof. Satoshi solved the double spend problem, which is an identity of information problem, and in doing so solved the problem in our base logic. You can’t double spend your logic. Bitcoin fixed philosophy/time/logic by giving it an empirical science.

I think I could certainly make the claim that we would not have Bitcoin. Both were a necessity in the process. But then again, all of it was necessary.

Yes, i agree. I just think it's interesting that their contributions to our understanding of the universe has generally been described as a product of their extraordinary abilities to map reality through a deep understanding of physics and math, but it seems to me that it was their fantastic imaginations that were really their compasses, and math was just a way to communicate and provide support for what they imagined.

The correlation between bitcoin and software stocks is so weird. I feel like they should be negatively correlated if anything. Is this just a sign of how misunderstood btc is and how early we are?

That tracks beautifully. The ability to quantify the relationship between our observation of matter, and the influence that the act of observation has on matter itself has always been just out of reach (shadows on a cave wall.) What an exciting time to be alive.

Knowledge is entangled through peer-to-peer transactions between human minds. Each exchange imposes a constraint, and that constraint carves the boundary of a new phase space, opening new possibilities that can propagate and replicate across other nodes (people). What actually carves that space is ...

Btw, something that’s hit me is that the human mind is similarly constrained. By grasping this knowledge about Bitcoin, you are introducing constraint into the mind. That constraint unlocks a new p...

Robert Pirsig stated that value is at the cutting edge of reality. We don't discover value in objects that already have form, objects take form because we value them. Since one of the most important ways that we come to consensus on the value of the objects in our world is through the lense of money, it becomes clear how the nature of our universal unit of account is deeply rooted in the overall health of the human race.

Adopting a lense through a unit of account that embodies the constraints of a bounded universe, as ours is, has monumental implications for the future of our species.

Love this! I would just go further to say that bitcoin doesn’t just embody the constraints of a bounded universe…it seemingly is one. A bounded universe, bounded within our universe. 🤯 So if UTXOs are matter, we are externally witnessing the process in which value takes form at the most fund...
