If it was gold backing the debt, that debt could live on as money (self liquidated when debt holder collects the gold)? Same for bitcoin backed ideas?

Important: It was not gold “backing” the debt, the real goods paid with the bill back the debt economically. After the goods were sold, the bill ‘self-liquidated’ into gold.

Agree. I’m imagining the disintermediation of platforms like uber, once one’s AI agent can find agents acting on behalf of the taxi drivers and leave a deposit in bitcoin for services. Sleek UI communicating booking ‘accepted’ etc.
