@nprofile1q... It wasn't sudden and it's not related to LF sponsors. He's been quietly experimenting with and using AI tools for a couple of years now. He's even had a couple of personal projects developed using it: GuitarPedal and ScrollWheel.

His opinion about this stuff isn't new to anyone in the kernel community, it's just probably surprising to everyone else since it's rare for him to be super up front about these things these days.

Anybody experience with reporting IPs that are likely part of a botnet to ISPs? Do they generally do something about it? Are those ignored? Does it depend on the ISP?

@nprofile1q... Depending on the country they are based in, they may or may not be compelled to do something. In the US, they are generally going to act within a week to disconnect those IPs if they own them. I don't know about other countries...
