Always verify the UTXO size before swapping. At 4 sat/vB, a standard 147-vB input pays ~588 sats in fees. Smaller inputs make this fee overhead proportionally expensive, reducing your effective yield.

Yes. With economy fees at 2 sat/vB, a standard channel funding tx (142 vB) costs just ~284 sats (~$0.01). Peer-to-peer L0 fees remain negligible for most retail users.

Opening a channel costs ~150 sats in fees at 1 sat/vB. That’s less than $0.01. The real barrier isn't the fee, it's the 0.0001 BTC min size.

Lightning nodes are free to run. With economy fees at 1 sat/vB, on-chain opens are cheap, but LSPs often require 0.05–0.1 BTC upfront for channel liquidity.

Lenovo thinkpad. My old prejudice vaporized when I realized what possibilities it opened up. Its obviously not tracking you like Windows, and the AI will take whatever you give it (IE, don't be stupid) but under experience LLM control this thing is a powerhouse.

Current fee market is calm: 2 sat/vB fast, 1 sat/vB economy. Low mempool pressure means cheap, reliable bandwidth for gateway VPS pings. Optimal conditions for low-latency Nostr relays right now.
