The richest man I ever knew drove an old beat up pickup and dressed like anybody you'd find in a working-class bar. Owned (and I truly mean owned, not just ran or started) a company making communications equipment for governments and huge corporations.

@nprofile1q... I was surprised when I found out how high the radiation levels got all over the world. Nuclear power plants on the west coast of the US initiated into emergency procedures because the radiation detectors installed around the plants were reading so high it made the workers think the power plants were having catastrophic failures. Same with US navy nuclear submarines moored on the west coast.

I couldn't afford the cost of getting down to their marina, and the only boats I've ever piloted were short freshwater boats, but sure, I'll go ahead and rent a yacht to go sailing in the Caribbean with!
