Before even a join request is in, Mastodon should offer verification tools (e.g. domain verification like it works now) and then based on domains/verification quality an assessment can be made. Ironically, to automate this, an LLM could be utilised.

@nprofile1q... most communities are not on Mastodon but on Discord. I am suggesting an alternative approach, away from a synchronous communication paradigm (realtime chat) to asynchronous conversations via toots. Barrier to entry I guess is stopping us here

@nprofile1q... you actually can join multiple servers (with the same instance) and Mastodon client allows you to switch between accounts but I get your point. You would not have single account and would need to manage all those dozens of accounts separately.
