Pixel is the purest Android phone that's why it's usually recommended for graphene because it's a reference hardware implementation without like a bunch of proprietary Samsung type stuff.
It's actually recommended for graphene because pixels are one of the very few (only??) phones where you can unlock the boot loader, install graphene, and relock the boot loader, a key security concern
I'm eyeballing a pixel 10. Anybody has a better suggestion?

It has to be a pixel, so the only possible adjustments would be a 9 or 8 (or 9A or 8A). Pixels have seven years of OS support for android and graphene follows those timelines, so they're good for a while. Any extra cash saved on the phone could go towards a home server and you widening your sovereign tech stack. God speed 🫡
