People who find LLMs useful when "used correctly" don’t understand that they manage to use them correctly because they spent 20 years of there life learning their craft without LLMs.

LLMs is the only tool where the less you use it, the better you become at using it.

I’ve read today a contributor to an open source project says, in substance: "If generated code is accepted in the project, I will stop contributing because I don’t want to spend time trying to understand the code in order to contribute just to see it changed at the commit of generated code".

Accepting generated code, even with mild rail guards, is a Pandora box way scarier than you think.

It is not a question of purity, it is a question of keeping your project alive.

Just found out that "prompts marketplaces" are a thing so you don’t have to think too hard about your prompt.

I had that idea that we could cut AI-bros from their Internet connection but, instead, connect them directly to a swarm of AI agents that would render website they want to see, that would send them emails (that their own agents would reply to) and would improve their metrics (clic-rate, visits, etc).

That way, they would be happy and would not mess with our good old Internet anymore.

We could call that Fletcher Memorial Home.

I mean: the company sucks. The software sucks. But their hardware was gorgeous for their first product (it all went down after that).

I would like to revive the Freewrite v1 (now called "smart typewriter") to be able to use Vim on it.
