Because yeah, in the desert you always shake your shoes before putting them on because smaller things think of shoes as caves they can hang out it to get out of the heat.

@nprofile1q... Yikes! When living in Vegas in the 70's even the toddlers knew to be careful about lifting rocks and packages because of snakes and scorpions hanging out in the shade. My parents had a metal table with an open top, kind of like the picture, which packages sat on and snakes, lizards, and scorpions did not. 😃

@nprofile1q... This can be a common problem. I'm not sure of the origin yet. I cheated by setting up a mesh core router that I could talk to and the router could forward things.

We used to do something similar to that in the Bay Area, draw a circle around the thing you want to keep (like your current living address) and then plot all the ways to get from there to the potential job. I don't think anyone did a conformal mapping based on time. Sometime people would plot businesses within 'x' miles of their house a potential places to work. But the 'x miles' was a loose indicator of commute time.
