just read the taproot spec justifying the naked schnorr pubkey in the outpoint instead of a hashed pubkey. in actual fact, p2spkh (pay to schnorr public key hash) also can replace segwit, because the signatures are not malleable, provides actual security against quantum pubkey to secret derivation,...
