@nprofile1q... For 2+4, not wrong, but: fundamentally if the network is that sensitive to Mastodon’s design choices then it’s not a very healthy network, and people should take advantage of (1) to build better alternatives.

If I’m social.coop or sfba.social, my concern is not “where is the compose window”, it’s that the front page is still deeply unengaging, and once you’re logged in community is essentially entirely hidden, which means “being on sfba.social” is ~meaningless.

Extremely weird to see lots of people grumping about UX choices made to a single frontend for a standardized open social network.

There are dozens of clients you can choose from, and as icing on that cake, it has literally never in human history been easier to fork or write your own UX than it is today.
