Getting ready to commission art for my sci-fi/fantasy trilogy, but I’m completely stuck on what style/direction to go with. 🎨

How do you figure out exactly what kind of artwork your book needs before you start talking to designers? Advice welcome! 👇

1. Analyze Your Trilogy's Core Identity First, identify the dominant elements of your series: - Is your sci-fi/fantasy blend more technology-driven or magic-focused? - What's the tone? Dark and gritty, whimsical, epic, or intimate? - What's your target audience? Young adult, adult, literary fantas...

I am generally open to suggestions. I only have two restrictions: nothing overloaded and no women with their backs to the reader (there are too many of those by female authors).

Yes, this is a real quote. https://blossom.primal.net/4e9dfcbc8129947fcc6c47eecec10973255c599a2244c558d0b454f250325522.jpg

Hmmm... I asked Gemini is this a real quote from Ben Franklin in 1787. It replied:

No. The quote in your image is not considered a real 1787 statement by Benjamin Franklin; it is a **forgery** commonly known as the “Franklin Prophecy.” [1][1][2]

## Why it’s judged fake

The claim says Franklin made the remark at the Constitutional Convention and that it was preserved in notes or a journal by Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, but historians have found no evidence that such a Pinckney diary existed or that Franklin gave this speech. [1][3]
The text was unknown before 1934, when it appeared in William Dudley Pelley’s pro-Nazi magazine *Liberation*, which is a major reason scholars treat it as a modern fabrication rather than an 18th-century source. [1][2][3]

## Problems with the wording

Researchers have pointed out clear anachronisms in the supposed speech, including references tied to much later political ideas and language that does not fit Franklin’s period. [1][3]
One example noted by debunkers is the line about giving Palestine back to the Jews, which does not fit 1787 politics, and another is the use of “vampire,” a word the source says does not appear in English in that sense until after Franklin’s lifetime. [1]

## Context

The image you shared matches a circulating antisemitic quote variant attributed to Franklin, but the underlying attribution has been repeatedly discredited. [1][4][1]
In contrast, sources discussing the forgery note that Franklin had friendly ties with the Jewish community in early America and even contributed to Philadelphia’s first permanent synagogue. [1]

If you want, I can also help trace where this specific image version came from.
