We've been working peace-fully and joy-fully on the borders between our land and rhe next door property, clearing very-well-established bramble jungles, high nettles, and dead wood on fruit and nut trees.

We are still not sooo certain of where the boundary actually lies, but it is less important, as we take steps to acquire the nextdoor house and land as our own!

This is a phase of slow integration, having shaken hands with the elderly neighbour who has been unable to tend to his place since before the winter.

He hobbled off with his chickens in his tractor, back in the autumn. Now we're in the epic methodical dance of rural Italy, towards this being ours: a much more solid *casetta* of stone and brick, an *orto* that we're clearing and will be mulching and planting imminently, and a large swaithe of overgrown yumminess, full of lost fruit and nut trees - walnut, cherry, apple - mushrooms, wild herbs and greens.

Molise is just divine; a paradise waiting to be unwrapped, and we are gently but firmly tugging at the ribbons....

Where Is Freedom?

"I love the feeling of being able to unravel perverse logic like a woolly jumper with a loose thread, to be able to stand very clearly occupying truth and movement and infinite choice, to be play-full in our relationship with Nature and with the Divine, to be the black sheep and the odd one out and even the heretic. All are roles that we can hold lightly, as we move daisy and dandelion plants to our terrace (above the leaking cantina ceiling), shift leaf mold and soil from the wild woods track edges, into our new, naturalised cement deck. It only took us 8 months or so to glean an affordable, straightforward solution, from the infinite choice of reactions we had before us. 😋🤗🥳"
