Stop treating homeless people like we owe you all our private details and an itemized budget when we need help.

No one really asks me how I am and I don’t know if that’s because they think I’m fine because I’m really strong because they know I’ll tell them truths they aren’t emotionally prepared to hear, or because they don’t care.

Our hyper-individualized society shames us for having emotional reactions and support needs at all. It normally frames reaction as mental illness. Meanwhile many of us are so lonely, disassociated, and/or stunted we don’t want to face any of that because of the immense pain.

I am cursing anyone in favor of this and all colonial capitalist war.

A society that chooses not to house people because of profit, and treats homeless people as less than human, weaponzing rhetorics of savagery and other colonial lies, is a system too expensive to our humanity to keep.

It is unsustainable.
