No one really asks me how I am and I don’t know if that’s because they think I’m fine because I’m really strong because they know I’ll tell them truths they aren’t emotionally prepared to hear, or because they don’t care.

Our hyper-individualized society shames us for having emotional reactions and support needs at all. It normally frames reaction as mental illness. Meanwhile many of us are so lonely, disassociated, and/or stunted we don’t want to face any of that because of the immense pain.

I am cursing anyone in favor of this and all colonial capitalist war.

I need folks who haven’t fuckin seen the climate science to actually just shut the whole entire fuck up about “how not dire our circumstances genuinely are” because you pretending like this time of 80+ years after incrementally privatized, corporatized, and deregulated global colonial capitalism matteroffactly never fucking existed before in history. When you downplay that shit it’s clear you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about and you detract from urgent need for fundamental changes.

I started watching the movie Motherland and I know it’s supposed to be a feminist critique of separating motherhood from child raising, but about ten minutes in it feels unnuanced and almost even anti-communist propaganda vibes.
