I dunno how electronics engineers manage to work with the difficult nature of their field.

I remember the robotics and electronics students at UCSC working 18-hour days to meet the lab requirements,, like how do you keep this up.

After reviewing papers and reading around to review them; I’m a little shook to learn that when HPC folks say caching, they do not mean “fast space kept around for (largely) side-effect free reads and writes to go brrrr”.

By caching they mean another storage tier, because it can fail writes if it is busy, it can rename files, it can corrupt files??? It can just get saturated and pause IO?
