@nprofile1q... Oh, so sort of like in the Soul Reaver games when the world geometry morphs and twists when you switch between the physical and the spirit world?

You could do a morph like that with a vertex shader, I think. The challenge with that approach is that you need a lot of extra vertices to make the effect look good, so that cube would need a lot more than the standard 8 corner vertices.
