Looks like El-Sayed has won his primary. Good. Now let's see how the party establishment responds. Are they going to do a Mamdani and try everything they can to sabotage him, or have they learned their lesson and will support him?

@nprofile1q...

But the reason for the warning is not disclosed, and there must be a clear link between the past behavior and the job role to issue any warning.

Sounds like one of those systems that sound good at first but instantly become a critical vulnerability if the government organ issuing these warning ever gets captured by fascists.

I guess the lesson I've taken away from the fascist takeover of the US is that every government needs to have an emergency shutdown/reset button.

Alright, so, Saudi Arabia wants to enrich uranium for their civilian nuclear program.

Saudi Arabia.

The country that could easily cover all its energy needs with solar power and have enough capacity left over to export electricity to their neighbors. Cheap, efficient, safe, uncontroversial.

And they claim they need a "civilian" nuclear program.

Exactly how fucking stupid do they think the rest of the world is?

They want to drop nukes. They're unfuckinghinged.

This is one of the most chilling manipulative lie I have read in a while. And I have read a lot of chilling manipulative lies from that American administration: โ€œWhen the leftist protests that we a...

@nprofile1q... As usual, the administration is taking actual Third Reich talking points, adding a couple of perfunctory tweaks, and passing it off as their own ideas.

โ€œSee, there is the enemy of the world, the destroyer of cultures, the parasite among the peoples, the son of chaos, the incarnation of evil, the ferment of decomposition, the plastic demon of the collapse of humanity.โ€

Rubio is cribbing from Goebbels. Fucking disgusting.

In July of 1989, the US launched a neutral particle beam accelerator into space as part of the Beam Experiments Aboard Rocket (BEAR) project (I wish I were making this up). The particle beam weapon reached an altitude of 200km, successfully did its thing, then returned to Earth and was recovered intact. It's now at the Smithsonian in D.C. if you want to look at it.

Anti-satellite particle beams, eh? Hmmm...

I like boardgames because the whole game is in the box. Once you buy the game, it's yours to keep. You only pay once. It's incredible.

I like tabletop role-playing games because the core sourcebooks contain everything you need to run an infinite number of games. All the tools to build your own stuff are right there, with just one purchase, forever.

I like video games too, but I miss when buying one actually meant you owned it.

Back in 2004, I dropped out of college to pursue a career in video games. I got incredibly lucky. I worked alongside some truly great people, and also some real shitheels. The wonderful humans FAR outnumbered the terrible ones.

I had a really good run, which came to an end last year with a layoff. That sucked, but I was able to find a new job with a company I like and people who inspire me.

Looking at the unending series of gaming layoffs, I don't even know where to begin.

So, regarding the absurd sentencing of those anti-ICE protesters... Remember when the ELF burned down that ski resort in Vail? Remember Sunshine Overaker and the others?

Same fucking playbook. Same as it ever was.

Wow, the voice of Lilo (Lilo and Stitch) dead at 35, while homeless. https://abc7.com/post/former-child-actor-daveigh-chase-ring-villain-lilo-voice-dies-35/19325178/

@nprofile1q... My wife used to be homeless, with all the awful stuff that entails. The streets in this country fucking eat people. And every time somebody does something about it, dipshits crawl out of the woodwork to undo whatever progress has been made.

Like, shit. Imagine this country if like half the fucking people here didn't have this ugly hard-on for using the power of the state to crush people instead of caring for them.

Fucking tragic.
