See for example web hosting. Why would anyone be willing to pay 1000 PLN / month to be able to host some html files with a database endpoint? You can just spin up a VPS for, say, 60 PLN / month and get the same thing, AND the ability to choose *which* database or http server you are using, instead of being forced to use the one you are given.

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... With md4c you get entry + leave events for blocks and spans. "Text" is one of the span types. I just have a small state machine and issue render commands as the events arrive.

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... On Linux it's basically "has any of the libraries changed the ABI since the release". ICU does this like once a week, so your best bet is static linking. The usual glibc problems are in the reverse direction, so that doesn't apply here.

The entitled abuse you get as an open source maintainer. Like, dude, I don't give a fuck if some internet rando I never heard about uses my software, or if they make a fork nobody will ever know about. I spend my weekends and evenings developing this because it fills a gap in the market that I personally need. If anyone wants to use it, be my guest, but I have zero tolerance if you choose to be a toxic asshole about it.
