Agree with all that. Most won't be able to tell the difference

Most already can't. They think they ballin' (sic cuz you know them finance bros like to flash and talk gangsta) when they pick a $200 bottle at the restaurant that is $40 at the distributor. Or a $75 bottle that's $25 at retail.

I usually just defer to the waiter/sommelier to pair what we order... And I've gotten disappointed when they produce their low priced bottle of house wine that's absolutely outstanding AND completely unavailable for me to buy to take home (damn laws)!

Also, I watch several "grounded" sommelier YouTubers and it cracks me up when they do the blind comparisons (you know, the $25, $250, $1k comps) and the general consensus falls somewhere in the middle to lower end. I'm just looking for pairings. Had a nice Italian Cab Sauv (Umberto Casari Liano $25CAD) last night that I picked purely for the Butterflied Ribeye (heart shaped, get it?) and sides. Wife and I loved the depth. Legal aged daughter with an immature tongue did not... She prefers Zinfandels and Roses.

Is my career safe from AI? We're all thinking it. A winemaker's future isn't as simple as "a robot will take my job." I'll benefit from the first wave of automation through better software tools for...

Well... What about when they analyze a vintage that is in peak form, break it down to its molecular structure, and then replicate it? Ultimately, it's chemistry. We'll end up with the question of "soul", or "wu" (Chinese/Japanese for "holy/spiritual" and linked to Buddhism), or "wabi sabi" where the imperfection or surprise is welcomed over the mass produced and engineered. It will come down to art but, and I know you know this, the masses don't recognize art until someone tells them on tiktok or whatever venue they subscribe to.

Maybe I was wrong about Sophie Powers musical career trajectory. She collabbed with Vana, a New Zealand singer who blends rock and metal... I'm falling down a rabbit hole.

You mean this autistic fuck? The lying (didn't have an OS when he sold to IBM), cheating (in business and relationships), scamming (funds the WHO and vaccine corps profiting of illnesses and cures), diseased (both in the head and other ways, ask Melinda)... Isn't? Nah. He's taking his revenge from being denied a date at prom.

(Yes, that's a real pic from 1985 or so).

Appreciate that you’ve been following me for years! Yes, it is original. Not particularly clever but seems to resonate well memetically.

Because everyone uses X on a mobile? I have a keyboard for my tab, too. And what about when you use an extension to automatically share/post a post from another service (like WordPress)? This seems like a rather ignorant/unclear and short sighted post by someone who shouldn't be in charge of the X algo. Oh, wait, I'm posting on NOSTR so... Don't care.

Just when I get bored with music and wonder whatever happened to <insert viral clip person here> I find that Sophie Powers is tracking her career like Grimes or Poppy (well, Poppy until she went into metal... Up to her Diplo collab). Small but passionate fanbase, quality production, impeccable imagery on a budget, not popular but very much pop..

I've begun to fear AI. Not the power it has/will have... But what happens to society/family/community as it becomes desensitized to its existence and effects. I believe this will be the catalyst (a good Carney word) for global totalitarianism that augments environmentalism and outside forces as the threat.

People are freaking out about Mohamed being the most popular baby name in certain western cities. Ironically, Amelia is the one for girls.

That said, I sometimes wonder if we're programmed. When my son was born in 2009 we had the idea to name him Noah (wife liked that), Liam (a play on a tradition of William which has been passed down to first males over generations), or Aiden. A Pinoy/Japanese family friends of ours chose Liam before us (WTF?!), and Aiden won out for alliteration with his sister. Cut to school and every class has 3 Aiden's. Where'd they come from? No idea. And Noah and Liam are still in the top names... Really.

I swear, we were subjected to subconscious programming. Maybe the Mohammed/Amelia thing is, too.
