Qwen 3 Max has been doing a poor job at following instructions over longer contexts. Heavily reliant on tropes. Constantly responds in-character to OOC corrections. Worse than GLM and Kimi. Perhaps their Coder model could do better, it advertises "longer horizons".

I'm gonna try DeepSeek, which is slower than Qwen 3, but faster than GLM which is just dying under load.

@lain @Phantasm @​ I don't think I'm ever going to use a functional language for anything.

I'm pretty stuck in my C/C++/Rust world these days. I don't see much of a reason to use anything else. Maybe python for the zero-dependency scripts.

Rust's borrow checker and hyper anal compiler is actually a good thing for LLMs. Extra safety. LLMs doing manual memory management in C feels spooky.
