I've personally never seen a sink take longer than 10 minutes even with poor service.
I've consistently come across this issue across multiple devices. Syncing to remote nodes is fast but solo takes hours and hours..

Is a 12+ hour time frame normal for a monero node sync? I have great internet speeds and decent gaming laptop and not using tor. I don't mind the wait, but this seems excessive..
