Doing one final push to hit the goal before August 1st. I'm a little nervous because GoFundMe seems to do "weekly" payouts. So I REALLY wanna get this finished before Friday to make sure I can pay them on the spot Monday.

The whole "yeah if you're late again we'll just evict you" has had me in a low key panic since I got that email a couple weeks ago.

Once I've rent paid I'm gonna call the WA governor office and plead to have my unemployment request "expedited" (it'll be over 6 weeks by then) which should give me breathing room until at least the end of the year.

Hey, #netbsd folk. Forgive my ignorance on this topic. But

I need to build a NetBSD port for a distribution that doesn't have one ready to go.

Can NetBSD be built from source *on Linux* or does it need to be built from within a NetBSD environment itself?

Just so I know if I need to spin up a NetBSD build VM first

The state are still spinning their wheels deciding if I should get unemployment or not. It's gotten to the point I've written to my congressional reps asking that they intervene as a voter of theirs (apparently that's "the only way" to get expedited through unemployment "adjudication"

Another week. My unemployment is still being "adjudicated" (going on 12 days now)

I'm extra fearful of being given an eviction notice in August. So I wanna get on top of rent *before* August 1st ;-; the more runway I can give myself the better

Despite paying rent on the 3rd, the landlord decided not to process the rent check until the 6th. Then slapped on a $75 late fee

Today they sent a notice "politely" asking us when we'd submit the payment for the remaining balance

...And then reminded us that if we're late again we "may" be evicted

Gonna do one big final push to try and get this GoFundMe completed so I can pay the fee and August rent in advance ;-; anything left over is going to paying down bills and stuff on top of that!

Another week, no response from the WA unemployment office about my case. Reading online that it can take "up to 30 days"
