As the sky darkened and the weight of the world pressed upon Him, Mary stood at the foot of the Cross.
She did not turn away. She did not flee. With a mother’s love deeper than any sword could pierce, she remained—silent witness to the suffering of her Son, her heart united with His in agony.
In that moment of unspeakable sorrow, she became the Mother of all who suffer, the one who teaches us how to stand faithfully when hope seems lost.
Yet the story does not end at the Cross.
Tomorrow we celebrate the Resurrection — the glorious triumph of Light over darkness, of life over death. The same Mary who wept at Calvary now rejoices as the first to see the promise fulfilled: her Son is risen, and with Him, our hope is restored.
May we, like Mary, learn to stand with courage in times of trial, trusting that resurrection always follows the cross.
