This Quranist needs to read his Quran in Arabic without interpretation from later scholars.

Quran 5:43-48:
The Quran tells the Jews and the Christians to use the Torah and the Gospel as guidance.

There are some claims that the Quran asserts that the People of the Book corrupted their Scriptures using the verse 2:75 but the word translated as “corrupt” is يُحَرِّفُونَهُ which never means to corrupt in any other verses in the Quran (4:46, 5:13, 5:41). In those verses it is always used to claim they take words out of context.

And also, we can see in the Quran that the Torah and the Gospel were revealed by Allah (3:3-4, 5:44-46) and that “none can change his words” (6:115).

We know exactly what the Bible looked like at the time of Mohammad. Actually, we have manuscripts that predate him by centuries.

But I absolutely agree with the Quranist that the hadiths are dog water. I've always found it sad that nearly all Muslims believe in them and there is no way to reason with them.
