I have no problem seeing this video with #amethyst.
It is an unusually small video (low bitrate), maybe your device has problems with that.
What device are you on?
I have pixel ..but it plays fine on same device on other clients .. my other videos are also same type ( and size ) done specifically for nostr cuz of size limits ...they all play fine ..

This is already the case, if compressed video is larger then the original is used.
I will test it, maybe we aggressively delete original (temp) video too early.

yes .. that is right .. original video is used ..but for the person who uploaded .. video doesn't play .. will share a post with you soon ..
This following follower model is getting so confusing .. around different clients .. #wisp has made it even more :-) .. all we need is just #zaps ( sent and received ) ... right below the profile pic.. cuz that represents everything ..followers ..followings ..likes . ..hates ..

#Amethyst .. here is an issue with the video uploads ..
When someone uploads a video file on Amethyst.. there is a default setting to compress the file ..
It is a good thing but sometimes the compressed file is actually bigger than the original file ( particularly for files generated through motion graphics ) ..
In such cases , the upload tool should automatically default to "uncompressed" .. or else if user ignores the message ..the video becomes unplayable for him ( might work well for others ) ..
It's a minor bug ..just wanted to note it down and put out there ..

I should make a Nostr client, and call it Zapless, and never add zaps or anything of that sort 🤔
