This Gesha coffee has been developing slowly, high in the mountains of La Libertad’s Balsam Mountain Range (1,500 MASL). The journey begins at Marina Cumbre, a small coffee farm nestled within a biodiverse forest. The farm uses natural and regenerative agroforestry practices which, in turn, eliminate the need for synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. As a result, they have created an exceptional and clean operation, where nutrient-rich soil and a perfect microclimate combine to achieve an impressive score of 85 (excellent quality) on its shade-grown Gesha.

After harvest, the natural process was utilized to prepare these beans, a technique that involves slowly sun-drying the entire coffee cherry (fruit, skin, and all) on African Beds, then hulling off the dried fruit. From there, the beans were sent to our roaster in Bitcoin Beach, where they underwent a medium-light roast.

You can be sure this coffee is 100% hand-tailored, roasted fresh by the ultra-talented artisan roasters in Bitcoin Beach, and is ready to ship to your doorstep! When you brew our Gesha, expect tasting notes of grapefruit, black tea extract, and honey. The flavor profile and aroma give these beans a sense of uniqueness. While, of course, this coffee is special no matter what path you take, our recommended brewing method is a V60 drip pour-over. We find that this option gives you the most control and, therefore, the ability to highlight the tasting notes and get the most out of every cup!

Circular economies and community are the backbone of Bitcoin

The first time I ever heard about El Salvador was when this news broke, back in 2021…

I was in my high school classroom, bored, and scrolling twitter when I saw the “Bitcoin Country” headline.

About a year later I visited for the first time with almost no idea what to expect.

Honestly, I didn’t really understand it yet. I was still just a “crypto” guy, half-expecting the whole thing to be one big number-go-up party.

I was completely wrong.

What I found instead were some of the kindest people I had ever met, and a real, living passion for freedom and community.

It was there that I started to understand what it actually means to be a Bitcoiner.

I quickly learned why Bitcoin Beach exists… and why there’s no such thing as “Solana Beach.”

I got to see circular economies in action and realized they are the true backbone of Bitcoin.

My time in El Salvador is a huge part of why I am the Bitcoiner I am today. Without experiencing the country, meeting the people I met, and seeing the truth of what this is really about, I have no idea where I’d be.
