The other day, a rookie pitcher making his debut got stopped by the home plate umpire and was told to straighten his baseball cap. The player's manager objected and got ejected.

@nprofile1q... posted about it and I responded by offering a semi-short history of rules both official and otherwise.

But it appears that MLB objected to the umpire's behavior, and I think that's probably a good thing. Some umpires are given to exerting undo influence and control.

The notion of 'let the players play' instead of enforcing so many rules on them seems to be winning the day. 👍🏻

@nprofile1q... I totally get the need to listen on multiple types of speakers (and in multiple rooms).

Have you ever used any of the products (hardware & software) that aim to mimic multiple types of the above, and/or tune your monitors to account for room nodes? I'm thinking of the products by SonarWorks and StevenSlateAudio.

Cuz of a period when I was prioritizing composing & recording over mixing, I have a huge backlog of the latter and now do almost nothing but. Hoping SonarWorks will help me get to a final mix more quickly.

A columnist reported that there were indications that they were trying to finalize something before the game began.

I went BOWLING today!

The first time in fifteen years.

Haha, I had to figure out how to do it all over again. I've been in leagues twice in my life, the last time around 2010.

I think my average back then was around 175. Today, I got a 79 and a 115. Hahahaha, but I had a smile on my face.

A simple pastime. Next time, I'll be better.

Big place. Sixty lanes! 🎳
