See people are telling you about the difference between Bitcoin and Sats but the more interesting question is the difference between a Bitcoin address and a Lightning address.
Bitcoin is the original thing and it has sometimes higher fees to move coins around. Lately they have been very low fees. And it takes 10 minutes at least to get an agreement on the network that this actually happened when you move money.
The Lightning Address is fast, basically instant. It's really really cheap. But it relies on another layer of infrastructure that sits on top of the Bitcoin network. And this other layer of infrastructure is a little bit more trustful and less trustless. You're depending on third parties to do things a bit more. So philosophically it's different and has engendered in the past some philosophical conflicts.
