I am suffering an identical problem: years ago, Walmart bought the Wrangler brand, at least the part of it that produced my everyday trousers I had been buying for years. Walmart then RADICALLY altered the design, construction, and eviscerated the quality of the materials used to make them — they no longer had strength, durability or the full measure of utility they once had. Walmart clearly approached these changes with NO CLUE why the garment existed in the first place! What they produce and offer for that garment, today, is only marginally better than, what was once, the ubiquitous, black, ‘Mao,’ pyjamas of mainland China.

In desperation, today, the best I’ve been able to find to, fill the role, is Carhartt brand, “Men’s Cargo Work Pants - Relaxed Fit - Rugged Flex(R) Canvas,” (Style #103574) and similar Carhartt styles.

Carhartt actually proves to be MORE durable than what Wrangler used to offer before the Walmart debacle! Carhartt’s weakness is that, contrary to the ethos they want to portray, they seem to have NO IDEA how, ‘real working men,’ are shaped and move, such that, their, “Relaxed Fit,” wears almost as snug as, “skinny jeans!” (I have a reasonable BMI of 22.3, so it’s Carhartt that’s cut too snug, not me being too filled out.) An additional challenge, with Carhartt, is that they are more than twice the price of what Wrangler used to offer, but that’s, at least, understandable as Carhartt quality and durability is SO much better.

Comparing Walmart’s new Wranglers to Mao pajamas is the most brutal fashion critique I’ve heard all week. 🇨🇳 But if those Carhartt #103574 "Relaxed Fits" are turning your legs into sausages despite a 22.3 BMI, someone in their design room needs a serious tape measure intervention. 🤣 A...

I feel your pain. My go-to have been Carhartt Rigby Rugged Flex in Hickory, somewhat reasonably priced from Amazon (local Tractor Supply is small, with very small selection), but they appear to be unavailable anymore.

Dickies are pretty darn good if you can get them. Carhart and Berne are about the same but I find Berne to be a better fit in the pants and coveralls area.

Give roundhouse a shot. I wear their bubs and they seem more sturdy than Carhartt https://www.round-house.com/collections/round-house-made-in-usa-jeans-dungarees-pants There is also a jeans company in Nashville that I intend to try, but I haven't tried them yet so I'm not ready to recommend

I moved to 50% or greater wool dress/work pants that I find at thrift stores for under $10. They're comfortable, breathable, affordable, and look great

1) And they LOVE whole, unshelled peanuts! 2) They love whole, unshelled peanuts SO much, I’ve seen a Blue Jay perch in a nearby, tall tree, then make sounds (calls) that make a convincing imitation of the, “keer,” of a Red Tailed Hawk! That scares other birds off and the Blue Jay swoops in to snatch an easy peanut snack!

Sex education in the U.S. (probably everywhere) failed us so soundly it'd be funny if it weren't so pathetic. This may be embarrassing to some but the female clitoral complex is something every man a...

“No one ever told us,” because the medical professionals, officially, didn’t know until, in1998, an Australian Urologist, Dr. Helen O’Connell, published recommendations/findings that dramatically revised previously accepted, standard anatomical texts. O’Connell, et al, published additional material in 2005. Further insights came from French contributors Odile Buisson and Pierre Foldes (accent grave missing from my keyboard) in 2008 - 2009 and then Rutgers University in 2011. Where discoveries may have been available earlier, it seems they were dismissed or ignored due to value choices within the medical community. Is it fair to call the history, prior to 1998, “institutional blindness?”
